Cartographic Technician; National Park Service
The National Park Service of the Department of the Interior is seeking a Cartographic Technician, a position based in Tucson, AZ.
Main Responsibilities for the Position Include-
Preferred applicants are proficient in GIS and have a strong understanding of cartography in map production and evaluation.
This is a SALARIED, full-time job opportunity that has a required appointment of 13 months, with the possibility of extension up to four years total.

Main Responsibilities for the Position Include-
- Work with SODN (Sonoran Desert Network) data management, focused on GIS geodatabase projects
- Design, implement, manage and evaluate long term maintenance and analysis solutions for local
- Collaborate with other inventory and monitoring programs within the Southwest Network Collaborative, a network of 6 states, 17 refuges and 29 parks
- Collaborate with park and refuge resource managers to evaluate data and support park systems and natural resource sustainability
