GIS Technician; Sundance Consulting Inc.
Sundance Consulting Inc. is seeking a GIS Technician. The specific duty location is not set, but is tentatively planned for a location in the NPS Intermountain Region.
The main responsibilities for this position include:
Applications should have expertise in GIS discipline and practices along with wildland firefighting experience, be highly motivated and a self-starter, expereince in sptial and tabular datamanagement and have excellent written and communication skills. Ideal candidates will have wildland firefighting and GIS experience. Familiarity with FMPC, Regions, Park and Fire Operations is a plus.
This is a temporary, full time non-exempt position.

- Conduct wildland fire facility risk assessments for NPS units
- Manage field data collection projects like coordinating crews, providing software training and data collection technology support and troubleshooting.
- Obtain, transform, update and load data into NPS Fire Geodatabase (fire histories and fuels treatment information)
- Others duties to assist NPS Wildland Fire program as GIS technician
